Scribble provides studio-quality art curriculum, instruction & materials for your after-school programming.
Are you looking for innovative after-school art classes for your school or community organization?
Our teaching artists can bring Scribble curriculum to your after-school program OR we can develop and manage a full-scale multi-class program from 1 to 5 days/week.
We'll work with you to create a schedule that aligns with your school needs and can push into classrooms or work out of a dedicated arts space. Most classes do require storage for materials and in-progress artwork.
We’re pleased to work with ALL school age students from early childhood to high school. All our curriculum is adapted to specific age groups.
Our 2024/25 class options include: DRAWING & PAINTING, SCULPTURE, COLLAGE, TOY & PACKAGING DESIGN, COMICS & ZINES, FASHION DESIGN, PRODUCT & ADVERTISING DESIGN*, POSTERS & ZINES*, PRINTMAKING*.

Comic book design, animation, fashion design, painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, printmaking…the list of our curricular portfolio goes on and on! Each year, our curriculum team works together to develop NEW engaging projects that are developmentally appropriate for the various age groups we serve. We also continuously improve our thousands of existing projects based on teacher feedback.

We know that a successful class stems from engaging content and even more importantly, a teacher’s ability to deliver that content in a way that challenges and excites their students. We also understand the importance of teaching artists having the classroom management skills to maintain emotionally and physically safe spaces where students can explore their work in a controlled setting. Our teachers receive initial training (including observations of master teachers, practicums to develop their skills and group discussions) before they go out into the field and are observed and coached consistently throughout their tenure with Scribble.

Your students deserve an authentic art-making experience and this includes using the finest art materials we can get our hands on. In addition to our time-tested supplies that we’ve used since our inception in 2011, our program managers and teachers test out different materials each summer before we finalize our new curriculum to make sure we’re exposing our artists to the tools that will inspire and enable them to create their best work.
What educators are saying about our programs:
“We have been working with Scribble Art and Sioux for many years and have been thrilled with the experiences our children have had in this program. The projects are always open-ended and designed to allow the children's own individual ideas to flourish. Although all the children have access to the same materials for any given project, each project looks so different and unique.
Sioux has a gift for keeping children engaged in each project (even those with shorter attention spans). She encourages the children to experiment and explore and adds new material or challenges throughout each class.
When I pop in during a Scribble Art class, the children are always excited to show me what they made and to tell me about it. It is clear that they feel a sense of pride around what they created. We have loved our collaboration with Scribble Art and hope to continue it for many years to come!”
