MAGGIE HASLAM

DOBBS FERRY STUDIO MANAGER

Maggie's parents say she used a paint brush before she could even sit up as a child.  Although she was born and raised in the Washington DC area, her education took her to Brigham Young university where she received a BFA in studio art and then New York City where she received a MFA from Pratt Institute in Painting. She and her husband have lived in the Washington Heights/Inwood area of Manhattan for the past 4 years and love New York and the inspiring people who live here. She believes strongly in the creativity of humankind and the fact that everyone has the capacity to engage in the art making process. Maggie spends her time painting (primarily in watercolor), teaching children, serving in the art community, and cuddling with her Aussie pup, Giorgio (named after Giorgio Morandi).
